Together with being a professional archaeologist Marie is also an accredited tour guide and a member of the Approved Tourist Guides of Ireland.

She is available to guide you on the Ring of Kerry, Dingle and Slea Head Drive, Killarney and its Environs, Muckross Abbey, Tralee and the Plains of North Kerry, Ardfert Cathedral and many more of Kerry’s gems.

Genealogical Research

Marie’s background in Genealogical Research makes her ideally equipped to advise on all those niggling, unanswered questions be it the difference between Church Records and Civil Records, or that between the Tithe Applotment Books and Griffith’s Primary Valuation, or what sort of information can be gleaned from maps, wills, deeds et cetera.

With 14 years experience in editing The Kerry Magazine and as the driving force behind www.kerryhistory.ie. Marie has extensive experience in sourcing articles, evaluating submissions, developmental, copy and line editing, communicating with authors, collaborating with graphic designers, web designers and printers.

About Marie

Marie has worked as a consultant archaeologist in the commercial sector, and has lectured at IT Tralee in Culture and Heritage Studies.

She holds BA & MA Degrees in archaeology and is a Full Member of the Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland.
