  • She holds BA & MA Degrees in archaeology and is a Full Member of the Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland and of the Approved Tourists Guides of Ireland.
  • Marie is available for Tour Guiding, Lecturing, Incentive Work, Conferences and Events.
  • Marie has worked as a consultant archaeologist in the commercial sector, and has lectured at IT Tralee in Culture and Heritage Studies.
  • In the past Marie has worked at Killarney Genealogical Research Centre, was the recipient of the 2015 Kerry Heritage Award and is a past-president of the Kerry Archaeological and Historical Society.
  • She is the long-time editor of The Kerry Magazine, to which she is also a frequent contributor.
  • In 2017 Marie was a finalist in the Connect Kerry Woman in Business Awards.

Marie inherited Herlihy’s Bar in 2006 and ran it as a licensed-premises until 2017. She project managed the transition to the current business and is now the Owner/Manager.
